Job: Painter Decorator / Multi Trader
Pay Rate: £22.52 per hour
Hours: 8am - 5pm
Start: ASAP

Job Description
We are looking for an well experienced and qualified Painter Decorator to work for a housing association team based in East London. The candidate must focus on delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and complete any job to high standards of the job specification. It is essential that every customer receives a satisfactory experience by delivering on promises; give respect; be accountable; show kindness.

About the Job
You'll be responsible for carrying out mould treatments, ventilation surveys and make good decoration to our customers homes. Furthermore you'll be responsible for basic repairs and maintenance in a domestic setting. Top notch customer service skills is required with enthusiasm and a 'can-do' attitude will all be essential as you'll be an ambassador for the company as you go from property to property carrying out work to the highest of standards.

The job role of the Painter Decorator will involve:

  • measuring surface areas and working out how much paint or wall covering is needed
  • stripping off old wallpaper or layers of paint
  • filling holes and cracks and making sure surfaces are level
  • covering surfaces with primer and undercoat
  • applying coats of paint
  • hanging wallpaper
  • adding special finishes like glazes or marbling
  • tidying up after finishing
  • cleaning tools and equipment


Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Must have Damp and Mould experienence
  • Previous Experience (4+ years) Working in Domestic Settings


You will be working a standard 8am - 5pm hour week with potential to take
overtime. Specialist tools will be supplied but own basic hand tools will be
required. A company van will also be supplied for work purposes.
