Liverpool Assessment Service is seeking five dedicated and compassionate Family Support Workers to provide essential support to children and their families subject to a LON4 assessment. You will play a key role in delivering tailored interventions to address the specific needs of families, helping to ensure their well-being and stability. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-agency environment, positively impacting the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

  • Monday to Friday 9 to 5
  • 36 Hours per week
  • Initial 3 month contract with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities

  • Deliver interventions and direct support to children and families in need.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and services to support families.
  • Conduct outreach and home-based support to address identified needs.
  • Maintain accurate and reflective records in accordance with Recording with Care guidelines.
  • Support parents in meeting the needs of their children by working closely with Health, Education, Children's Centres, and other agencies.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and multi-disciplinary teams across various settings.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, NND, or Health and Social Care qualification.
  • Experience working directly with children, young people, and families.
  • Proven experience in multi-agency working and delivering home-based support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.
  • Full UK driving license, access to a car, and laptop.


Desirable

  • Knowledge of child development and child protection issues.
  • Experience delivering practical parenting strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with parents and professionals.
