Operations Manager - Homelessness Services (Vulnerable Women and Young Parents Services)

Our client is a leading charity dedicated to delivering quality support services to vulnerable homeless women, young parents, and families affected by domestic abuse across Northwest England.

The Role:
We are looking for an innovative and compassionate Operations Manager to lead our clients frontline homelessness services supporting vulnerable women and young parents. This is a dynamic and vital role that will oversee the development and delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services, ensuring they are accessible, responsive, and in line with our guiding principles and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate homelessness services for vulnerable women and young parents, ensuring compliance with our clients strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain services that are trauma-informed, needs-led, and actively involve the contribution of individuals and families using the services
  • Foster a positive and inclusive working environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide consistent line management, support, and development to staff, volunteers, and students.
  • Build strong relationships with commissioners, stakeholders, and other agencies to promote a collaborative approach to service delivery.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on service provision, quality, and performance to meet our clients, contract, and funder requirements.

Person Specification:

  • A relevant qualification in Management, Housing, Children and Young People, or Women's Studies (Diploma/Degree/NVQ 7 or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in the field of homelessness, young parents, multiple disadvantages, or violence against women and girls (VAWG).
  • Ability to inspire, lead, and support a diverse team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting against organizational plans, targets, and budgets.
  • A clear communicator, able to adapt tone and style to a range of audiences.
  • Strong commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice.
  • Ability to travel regularly for training and meetings; access to a car is essential.

The Package

  • Operations Manager role, 24 hours. 23 days annual leave (pro-rata) rising to 28 days + 8 bank holidays.
