Job Advert: Civilian Investigators - Operation Northleigh (Grenfell Fire Investigation)

Pay Rate: £25.51 per hour
Location: Hendon Peel Centre, Greater London
Contract Duration: Minimum 12 months, with potential for extension

Service Care Solutions is recruiting a team of Civilian Investigators to join the Operation Northleigh team, conducting the criminal investigation into the Grenfell Tower fire disaster. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the largest and most impactful homicide investigations, running alongside a Public Inquiry.

The Role

As the investigation reaches a decisive turning point, your work will focus on building cases against key individuals and companies responsible for the tower's refurbishment. You'll be part of a fast-moving and intense investigative team tasked with advancing this crucial operation.

Job Title: Agency Staff Worker
Band: Band D
Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Part-time/condensed hours are available (minimum of 3 days per week).
  • Hybrid working: 4 days in the office, 1 day from home.
  • Overtime available (not mandatory).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Action-led tasking to progress established criminal investigations.
  • Conduct investigative work to support the prosecution of those responsible for the Grenfell Tower fire disaster.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in major or complex crime investigations.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in a Major Incident Room (MIR) or Major Investigation Team (MIT) environment.
  • Familiarity with the HOLMES system.
  • Strong written and report-writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Vetting Level: CTC clearance required.
