We are working with a client in Kent who are seeking to recruit a Neighbourhood Caretaker to join there Neighbourhood Housing Team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring that residents live in a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. You will collaborate with various departments within the Housing Association, as well as external stakeholders and partners, to uphold high standards of estate management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing excellent gardening and grounds maintenance services to keep communal areas clean and free from rubbish.
- Conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security across the estate.
- Ensuring compliance with fire safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with residents, colleagues, and external partners to address any maintenance concerns effectively.
- Working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality services to the community.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual with experience in grounds maintenance and neighbourhood services. The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in grounds maintenance, caretaking, or estate services.
- Be able to communicate and engage effectively with residents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Work well within a team but also have the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction.

Additional Information
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday: 8:45 am - 5:15 pm
- Friday: 8:45 am - 4:45 pm
- There may be a requirement to work outside of these core hours in the event of urgent issues on the estate.
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required.
- This role is subject to a basic DBS check.
