Sefton Council's My SPACE (Sefton Protection Against Child Exploitation) Team is looking for a committed and resilient Intervention Worker to join our multi-agency service.
πŸ” About the Role As an Intervention Worker, you'll deliver intensive, evidence-based support for young people who are at risk of or experiencing exploitation. Using a Child First, Trusted Adult, and trauma-informed approach, you’ll provide creative interventions and work alongside Social Workers, families, and key partners to reduce risk and improve outcomes.

πŸ’Ό Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-work with social care teams as part of the ETAC (Exploitation Team Around the Child) model.
  • Deliver personalised, strengths-based interventions for vulnerable young people.
  • Contribute to assessments, care planning, and reviews.
  • Prepare and present accurate reports for multi-agency meetings.
  • Actively identify and manage risk using appropriate processes.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, meeting them where they are.
πŸ™‹ About You: We’re looking for someone with:
  • Knowledge and experience of working with exploited children and young people.
  • A strong background in youth work or similar services.
  • A deep understanding of trauma, exploitation, and child development.
  • The ability to build trust, engage creatively, and work both independently and as part of a team.
βœ… Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in working with children, young people, or families.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974).
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle (casual car user allowance applies).
