Job Description:
- As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting and performing engineering activities throughout the lifecycle of various projects contributing to Nuclear New Build initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the design of systems and components to meet customer requirements.
- Formulating effective solutions to emerging problems.
- Evaluating the overall performance, reliability, and safety of final products.
- Modifying designs to meet customer specifications.
- Collaborating with Senior Mechanical Engineers to estimate project budget and scope.
- Identifying risks and opportunities within projects.
- Preparing product reports and documentation.
- Engaging in continuous learning and development of new theories or methods.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience in a similar role and a BEng or similar professional qualification in a related engineering field.
- Understanding of safety legislation and safety culture.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to act with integrity.
- Capacity to work independently with initiative and self-motivation.
Desirable:
- Understanding of materials.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to a range of stakeholders.
