Maintenance Surveyor – Housing Client
Location: Camberley Region (within a 15-20 mile radius of Camberley, with travel to Ashford, Kent)
Salary: £45,342 per annum (including car allowance and regional uplift)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading housing provider in Surrey for a dedicated Maintenance Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that is committed to providing safe, high-quality homes for its customers. 

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the repairs and voids maintenance services for a portfolio of up to 1,500 properties within your designated region.
  • Conduct site visits to assess repair requirements and ensure works are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Utilise your technical expertise to diagnose and specify maintenance solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Raise and manage repairs through the company’s bespoke CRM system, keeping records updated until job completion.
  • Maintain the Empty Homes standard, ensuring properties are refurbished and available for new residents in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders to optimise property services and maintain excellent standards.
  • Manage contract performance and budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations and ensure all maintenance works align with legislative and company standards.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
  • HNC in Building or an equivalent qualification, or significant experience in maintenance and construction.
  • A thorough understanding of building design, materials, and life cycles.
  • Knowledge of contract performance management and budget control.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills to liaise effectively with residents and stakeholders.
  • The ability to interpret building legislation and apply it in a practical environment.
  • Proficiency in using operational software for property management.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
