M and E Officer

Job Description

A client within the Public Sector based in Nottinghamshire is currently recruiting for a Mechanical and Electrical Services Office to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, position on a permanent basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within the public sector within an asset management environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to ensure effective delivery across Mechanical regulatory, compliance and safety contracts within the clients values and culture, ensuring colleagues are engaged and empowered to deliver

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • support the Mechanical Manager and contribute to the contract project team and to supervise, motivate and monitor an onsite multi-skilled team to ensure the contracts are completed in time, within budget and to the specified standards.
  • assist and monitor on site performance and take positive action when necessary, to ensure the work is completed on time and budget.
  • oversee and have autonomous control of various complex projects with responsibility for Supervising site activities.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 3 in mechanical or equivalent in construction.

It will be essential to have an extensive level of knowledge of the below:

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate information to a wide range of individuals and external contacts using a variety of methods.
  • Proven experience of managing mechanical on site projects with accountability for budget; contractor delivery and quality control.
  • Proven experience of leading on mechanical assurance on site delivery.
  • Experience in undertaking technical audits and training enhancing mechanical engineers competence.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £38,223 - £41,418 per annum.
