Service Care Solutions is working alongside a growing local authority, based in Derbyshire, which is in need of an experienced litigation lawyer to join their team and handle a mixed caseload of personal injury matters.
The council can pay £50-£55ph umbrella. The rate offered will be based on experience and interview performance. This role will operate on a 6-month rolling contract.
Key Responsibilities Of The Litigation Lawyer Role:
- Manage a varied caseload of personal injury claims, including but not limited to: Industrial disease claims; Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) cases; Mesothelioma as well as other asbestos-related claims and Historic abuse claims.
- Navigate and utilise the Damages Claims Portal effectively.
- Provide expert legal advice and support across the local authority's claims portfolio.
Key Requirements:
- A qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive with 3+ years of PQE in personal injury litigation, ideally with a strong focus on defendant work (claimant experience will be considered).
- Proficiency with pre-action protocols and the Damages Claims Portal is essential.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client-focused approach.
