Litigation Lawyer

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a forward-thinking county council, based in Suffolk, which is in need of a litigation lawyer to join their team handle a mixed caseload of civil litigation and insurance matters. If you are looking to make a lasting impact on a growing community, then this could be the role for you!

The position can pay a rate of £50-£55ph umbrella and the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance. Attendance required for office and/or Court - in the office one/two days a week preferably (Wednesday and/or Thursday) and limited court attendance required.

The Responsibilities Of The Litigation Lawyer Role:

  • Manage a varied caseload, including civil litigation and insurance matters.
  • The role will also deal with some work on debt recovery cases (with a particular focus on care home fees), planning enforcement, drainage and highways issues.
  • Represent the council in court and at tribunals as required.

Requirements:

  • A qualified solicitor or legal executive with a valid practicing certificate in England and Wales.
  • Has proven experience in civil litigation and insurance cases law.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of local government legal work, including debt recovery, planning enforcement, and highway issues.
  • Possesses excellent advocacy, communication, and negotiation skills.
