Litigation Lawyer

Job Description

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a thriving local authority, based in Lancashire, which needs a Litigation Lawyer to join their team and handle Criminal and Civil Litigation matters.

This position is a three-month rolling contract and they can pay a competitive rate of £45-£50ph umbrella. There is potential negotiation on the rate for the right candidate.

Responsibilities involved in Litigation Lawyer role

  • Handle a mixed caseload of Criminal and Civil Litigation matters from start to completion.
  • Provide expert legal counsel to the council and its departments on litigation risk, strategies, and decision-making
  • Prepare cases and represent the council in courts and tribunals, ensuring well-prepared, effective advocacy

Requirements

  • A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with Criminal and Civil Litigation experience
  • Someone who has worked for a Local Authority within a litigation legal team
  • Someone who can attend the county hall (Preston) once a week.
