Job title: IT Hardware administrator
Location: Sittingbourne, ME9
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: 6 months
Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday (Office based 5 days)

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Hardware Administrator to join their team. As an IT Hardware Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT assets. You will catalogue all broken and damaged hardware, remove them from systems, and investigate any missing or unmanaged devices. You will also be responsible for wiping assets ready for disposal and returning hardware still under warranty to appropriate suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Systematically record and track all hardware that is broken or damaged to maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Efficiently and securely remove damaged or outdated hardware from the company's systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to locate and account for any missing or unmanaged devices, ensuring all assets are accounted for.
  • Safely wipe all data from hardware assets designated for disposal to protect company information and comply with data protection regulations.
  • Coordinate the return of defective or malfunctioning hardware that is still under warranty to suppliers for repair or replacement.
  • Ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest information and that all hardware documentation is accurate and complete.

Person Specification

  • Knowledge of general office and administrative procedures and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise work to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating adaptability, flexibility and the ability work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, particularly in word processing, report generation, and data entry.
  • Experience in IT Asset Management
  • Understanding of Microsoft Intune
