Join Enfield's Housing Gateway Ltd Rent Income Team as an Income Assessment Officer and make a difference in the community.
THE ROLE
As an Income Assessment Officer, you will be a key member of the rent collection service, responsible for delivering effective, customer-focused collection services for Housing Gateway Ltd tenants. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Contacting tenants in rent arrears to assist in setting up payment arrangements.

  • Supporting income maximisation efforts for tenants.

  • Engaging with vulnerable and challenging customers to ensure they receive appropriate support.

  • Working in line with national and corporate policies, procedures, and statutory legislation.

  • Maintaining a positive and professional image when interacting with customers.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and relevant partners to support tenant needs.

  • Ensuring all actions are compliant with regulatory and legal requirements.


THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, particularly within a rent collection or income assessment environment. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:


  • Strong knowledge of rent collection processes and income assessment.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, especially those in vulnerable situations.

  • Experience working within a team and collaborating with various stakeholders.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Familiarity with national and corporate policies, procedures, and statutory legislation relevant to rent collection and income support.


THE CONTRACT
3 months, with the potential to become a permanent position
36 hours per week
£18.66 PAYE / £22.81 Umbrella hourly
