A Housing Association in East London are seeking a dedicated Housing Support Team Leader to join their team in Bethnal Green, overseeing the support provided to vulnerable residents and ensuring the highest quality of service.
THE ROLE
As a Housing Support Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service, managing staff, and supporting residents within a psychologically informed environment.
- Oversee the day-to-day operational support within the service and work closely with the Service Managers to drive service improvement
- Manage and support the Night Team and Enhanced Housing Officer, ensuring effective supervision, coaching, and training
- Ensure the service remains compliant with CQC regulations and contract requirements
- Support residents in stabilising their substance use and progressing toward independent living
- Respond to incidents and health & safety concerns using risk management procedures
- Build and maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders and community partners
- Assist in managing the service budget in line with financial policies
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar Housing Support or Team Leader role, with a strong background in working with vulnerable individuals.
- Experience managing or supervising staff within a housing or support setting
- Strong understanding of substance misuse, trauma, and complex needs
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and best practices in supported housing
- Ability to manage rotas, budgets, and staffing resources effectively
- Excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to prepare reports and case studies
THE CONTRACT
- 40 Hours Per Week (Rota, Early / Late Shifts - 8-4/2-10 - and some weekends)
- 3 Month Contract
- The pay for the role is £17.88 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £15.24 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
