Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Temporary Ground Maintenance Operative for their client in Leicestershire to join the Operational Highways team. This hands-on role involves maintaining environmental areas such as verges, hedges, and footpaths across Leicestershire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and verge maintenance
- Seasonal tasks including sign washing and edging back verges
- Using plant machinery and power tools safely
- Assisting in emergency response situations as part of a standby rota
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 in Highways Maintenance (or willingness to attain)
- Valid driving licence
- Experience in highways or civil engineering maintenance
- Knowledge of safe working practices
- Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) licence & CPC qualification
- Traffic Management knowledge (Chapter 8 regulations)
- Ability to tow and manoeuvre trailers
