Governance Lawyer

Service care solutions are currently working alongside a forward thinking local authority based in Devon. They are looking for a Governance lawyer to join their growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work amongst legal experts and progress your career.

This role pays a competitive rate of £50-£55 an hour umbrella depending on experience.

This is a Hybrid role is on a temporary basis with potential to be long term.

Responsibilities as a Governance lawyer:

  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to discuss case details, conduct legal research, and coordinate litigation strategies.
  • Advise clients, governmental bodies, or other entities on the constitutionality of laws, regulations, or actions.
  • Prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda on constitutional and governance issues.
  • Corresponding and negotiating with government departments.

About you as a Governance Lawyer:

  • Experience in drafting local authority constitutions
  • Good communication skills written and Verbal
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or legal executive with experience in Governance Law.
