Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician looking for a rewarding opportunity within the police force? We are seeking a skilled professional to maintain and repair fleet vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring safety, reliability, and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities: ? Perform scheduled servicing and unscheduled repairs to police vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair faults efficiently to ensure vehicle availability.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and compliance documents.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with COSHH, Health & Safety, and risk assessment regulations.
- Provide expert engineering advice and technical support to vehicle users.
- Operate diagnostic tools and software to identify vehicle faults.
- Recover and assess broken-down or accident-damaged vehicles.
Qualified in motor vehicle service and repair – City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
- Post-apprenticeship experience in servicing and repairing vehicles.
- Knowledge of modern vehicle diagnostics, repair techniques, and engineering practices.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a systematic approach to prioritising tasks.
- Good communication skills – able to liaise with officers and staff at all levels.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Vehicle Inspectorate Nominated Tester Certificate or equivalent experience.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Experience of working to industry repair times efficiently and effectively.
