Family Practitioner
Duration: Initially 3 months
Hours: 36 hours per week
Rate: £26 umbrella an hour (£23 PAYE)
Lewisham Council are looking for a Family Practitioner to join their team. As a Family Practitioner you will:
- Work collaboratively with young people and their families to provide focused support to families to improve outcomes, address challenges, reduce risks to children and to enable families to make and sustain change
- Undertake and contribute to assessments and plans for children and their families
- Provide intensive support to vulnerable children/young people and their families through a family centred approach
- Undertake one-to-one direct work and mediation work with children/young people and their families in a crisis
Requirements:
- Experience of delivering targeting help parenting/family support
- Experience being a lead professional and holding a caseload
- Significant experience of providing support to vulnerable children/young people and their families within a targeted early help setting on a range of complex issues
- Professional qualification or relevant experience in a social work/health/or related children's services area
- Training and/or qualification in social care, youth work or equivalent to national standards, a minimum NVQ 3
