Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Adults Social Worker to join the Arundel House Community Mental Health Team in central Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing essential mental health services to adults in the local community.
You will play a crucial role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges, empowering them to achieve their goals, and promoting independence. Responsibilities
- Undertake person-centred assessments to identify needs and risks, creating and implementing tailored care plans.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues, service users, and their families to ensure holistic and effective support.
- Manage a complex caseload, maintaining high standards of practice and professionalism.
- Support individuals in navigating mental health services, advocating for their needs and promoting recovery-focused interventions.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development activities to enhance your practice.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care, ideally within mental health services.
- Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge: Sound understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, and other relevant legislation.
- Personal Attributes: A proactive and empathetic professional, committed to achieving the best outcomes for service users.
