Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our housing repair team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks to ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of electrical work, including repairs, installations, and maintenance in residential properties
- Diagnose and fix electrical issues in a timely manner
- Ensure all electrical work complies with current safety regulations and standards
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems and components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Communicate effectively with tenants and provide excellent customer service
- Manage time effectively and work to project deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within housing repair and maintenance
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Full clean driving license
- Own tools and transportation preferred
