A client within the Public Sector based in Hampshire is currently recruiting for an Electrical Operations Supervisor to join their Commercial Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a housing maintenance environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to oversee the delivery of all electrical works across the housing stock, ensuring safe working practices, technical compliance, and high-quality standards. The role also involves leading a team of electrical professionals, monitoring performance and maintaining training standards while delivering a customer-centric service.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Managing the delivery of electrical installations, responsive repairs, and planned works including full rewires and heating installations
• Acting as a Qualified Supervisor (QS) to review and sign off electrical certification
• Ensuring all electrical inspection and testing results are recorded and validated properly
• Overseeing compliance with health and safety legislation and BS7671
• Providing team leadership, monitoring performance, and ensuring effective customer resolution
• Deputising for the Senior Electrical Operations Manager as required
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2 or 2330 levels 2 and 3)
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 in Inspection and Testing
• Experience in a supervisory electrical role and prior registration as a Qualified Supervisor with NICEIC or equivalent
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Knowledge of BS7671 and demonstrable experience in electrical testing and commissioning
• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel to locations not served by public transport
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering a permanent salary of up to £49,675 per annum + benefits.
