About The Company

My client, a leading and established manufacturing business based in the West Midlands, are currently looking to recruit an experienced and ideally Apprentice trained Electrical Maintenance Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Please Note - It is essential candidates hold a Level 3 qualification (i.e. Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or similar) in a practical ELectrical discipline.

Shift Pattern - Days Based Role - Monday to Thursday (6.45am to 5.00pm) & Friday (7am to 4.30pm) - 48 Hours

Electrical Maintenance Technician - Responsibilities

  • Electrical preventative and reactive maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Electrical plant installation and modification
  • Statutory inspections
  • The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems

Electrical Maintenance Technician - Requirements

  • Educated to Level 3 (i.e. City & Guilds or equivalent) in a practical Electrical discipline - ESSENTIAL
  • Ideally hold a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship
  • 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulation would be beneficial
  • CompEx qualification would be extremely beneficial (Ex01-04) & (Ex05-06) - Required for Senior Level
  • Previous experience of working within a COMAH registered or high hazard manufacturing facility would be highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of ATEX requirements would be beneficial
  • The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with works
  • Please note - for Senior Level roles previous Chemical Industry experience is required
