Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a EHCP Caseworker with Stockport Council

Stockport Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the EHC assessment process in line with statutory timelines.
  • Act as the named officer, collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure person-centered, legally compliant casework.
  • Handle complex cases and deliver difficult decisions using restorative approaches.
  • Resolve conflicts, chair conciliation meetings, and prepare for Tribunal (SENDIST) hearings when required.
  • Ensure appropriate provision and placement for children with SEND, including Looked After Children (LAC).
  • Liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure seamless collaboration.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children and young people with SEN.
  • Extensive multi-agency working experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure caseloads and complex multi-agency meetings.

Perks:

  • Rate: Up to £300 per day.
  • Hybrid role: Only 1 day per week in the office; work from home the rest of the time.
