Early Years Practitioner

Slough Borough Council are looking for Early Years Practitioners to join their team on a shift basis.

This role is initially a 3 month contract but is likely to be extended

Rate: £16.75 umbrella an hour

About the Role

The Early Years Practitioner will be responsible for contributing as an experienced practitioner to all aspects of the daily operation of the setting. This includes the implementation of operational plans and procedures, delivery of curriculum and educational programmes, catering, health and safety procedures, including safeguarding, cleaning routines, and administration of children's records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full care and supervision for the children, ensuring that all their needs are met
  • Work in close partnership with staff from local primary schools to provide fully integrated care and education
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and discipline and uphold and promote the setting's policies on equalities and inclusion
  • Implement all other of the setting's policies and procedures, ensuring that the OFSTED standards are met and records are kept as required
  • Attend planning and staff meetings as required

  • 08:00 - 16.15
  • 08:00 - 17:00
  • 08:45 - 15:15
  • 09:00 - 15:15
  • 09:00 - 15:30
  • 11:00 - 14:00

Requirements

  • Diploma in Level 3 Early Years
  • Experience as an early years practitioner
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS
  • Commitment to providing high-quality education and care to children
