About the Company

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of Haringey Council for workers to join their Connected Care department. Connected Care are a leading organisation that provides emergency services to vulnerable residents. They are currently seeking two Digital Care Technicians to work within their Connected Care Service. If you are passionate about helping people and have experience in installing and maintaining lifelines and telecare equipment, then this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role

The Digital Care Technician will play a vital role in ensuring that all equipment is installed, deinstalled, and maintained safely and effectively in a timely manner to ensure service is maintained. This involves the use of tools and ladders. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that all customers and their family members/carers understand how the equipment works and can use it effectively. The role is Monday to Saturday, and only one Saturday will be worked within the month. The shift pattern is 9am to 5pm, and the role requires 36 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain lifelines and telecare equipment in vulnerable service users' homes
  • Drive to service users' homes to install equipment
  • Ensure that all equipment is installed, deinstalled, and maintained safely and effectively in a timely manner to ensure service is maintained
  • Ensure that all customers and their family members/carers understand how the equipment works and can use it effectively
  • Use tools and ladders to install and maintain equipment
  • Use council fleet vehicles to travel to service users' homes
  • Pass the council driving assessment to use council fleet vehicles
  • Use their own vehicles in the meantime and receive mileage payment

Key Requirements

  • Experience of installing and maintaining lifelines and telecare equipment in vulnerable service users' homes
  • A full clean UK driving license
  • Experience in driving to service users' homes to install equipment
  • Competent in using tools and ladders to install and maintain equipment
  • Enhanced DBS
