Deputy Residential Childrens Manager

Warrington Council are looking for an experienced and child-focused Deputy Residential Childrens Manager to join their No Wrong Door service. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of one of their children's homes in Warrington, ensuring that the services provided to the children are of outstanding quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children's home
  • Ensure that the services provided to the children are of outstanding quality
  • Work 37 hours a week Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, completing sleeps where needed and meeting the needs of the service
  • Manage a team of 7

Requirements

  • NVQ level 3 in care of children & young people or a diploma in social care
  • Experience of working with children and young people in a social care setting
  • Understanding of young people's needs and behaviours and evidence of having effectively contributed to responding to those needs to enable them to reach full potential
  • Demonstrates a flexibility of approach
  • Proven interpersonal skills to be able to represent the interests of the home in a positive way
  • Accepts responsibility and accountability for own work, understands the limits of his/her role
  • Is able to complete work by set deadline, seeks and uses professional support constructively
