Crime and Intelligence Researcher (12 Months)
Location: Lincolnshire Police HQ Contract Type: Maternity Cover (12 months)

About the Role: Lincolnshire Police is looking for a dedicated Crime and Intelligence Researcher to join the Analytical Unit for a 12-month maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to support crime and intelligence teams by providing crucial research and insights that assist in the effective targeting of police resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and interpret data related to crime, intelligence, and law enforcement to identify links between offenders and crimes.
  • Use both manual and computerised systems to gather information, filling any gaps in intelligence by making well-informed recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and summaries based on research findings for further analysis or dissemination.
  • Support Tactical Assessments by preparing necessary documentation and briefing relevant parties, including senior officers and external agencies.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in conducting research and using IT applications to gather and analyse data.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • HNC in Business, Research discipline, or significant experience in a similar role.
