Position: Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7)
Location: Child Development Centre, Hill Rise, Kempson, Bedford; Edwin Lobo Centre, Luton; or Remote Work from Home
Pay Rate: £32 per hour
Contract Duration: 12 weeks
Start Date: 1st December 2024
Hours: Full-time or Part-time

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Band 7 Paediatric Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. This role focuses on supporting children and young people with ADHD, offering expertise in medication management and clinical assessments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist nursing care to children and young people with ADHD.
  • Oversee and manage the titration of ADHD medication, ensuring safety and effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and provide expert advice to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams in clinical or remote settings.
  • Prescribe medication as a qualified V.300 Independent Nurse Practitioner.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation in compliance with professional standards.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration (Paediatric qualification preferred).
  • Additional qualifications in relevant areas are advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in managing care for children and young people with ADHD.
  • Expertise in ADHD medication titration.
  • V.300 Independent Nurse Practitioner qualification is mandatory.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
