Are you passionate about empowering women involved in the criminal justice system? Join our client's dedicated team on a temporary basis!

Our client, a leading organisation providing specialist support services, is seeking compassionate and skilled Temporary Community Keyworkers. You will play a vital role in a service dedicated to helping women address complex needs across the 9 pathways to offending, reduce their risk of re-offending, and build safer, independent, crime-free lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential prison in-reach support to women nearing release (via phone, video call, or face-to-face).
  • Meet women "at the gate" upon release to ensure immediate support.
  • Conduct comprehensive holistic needs and risk assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised support plans using a trauma-informed approach.
  • Deliver consistent 1-to-1 emotional and practical support in the community.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, probation staff, and local support agencies.
  • Advocate effectively for women's needs with external partners (e.g., housing, health services).
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records on required systems.
About You (Essential Requirements):
  • Knowledge: You possess an in-depth understanding of the complex issues faced by women offenders or those at risk of offending.
  • Experience: You have significant experience working directly with women facing multiple disadvantages (e.g., homelessness, substance misuse, domestic abuse, mental health challenges), ideally within a criminal justice context. You are skilled in needs assessment, risk assessment, and risk management. You have experience managing professional boundaries and responding effectively to challenging situations.
  • Skills: You have strong crisis management skills and remain calm under pressure. You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You can effectively manage a varied caseload, prioritise tasks, and work autonomously. You possess good administrative and IT skills for record-keeping and support planning. You demonstrate a passion for motivating others, enabling change, and engaging hard-to-reach individuals. You are adept at networking, advocacy, and problem-solving.
