Children's Social Worker

About the Role:

This role involves working across all aspects of family social work and assessments, supporting children and families at various stages of intervention, including:
šŸ”¹ Child in Need (CIN) - Providing support and intervention to families to prevent escalation into child protection.
šŸ”¹ Child Protection (CP) - Managing cases where children are at risk of significant harm, attending strategy meetings, and developing child protection plans.
šŸ”¹ Care Proceedings - Working within legal frameworks, preparing court reports, and supporting children through proceedings where necessary.

The team operates a duty system, meaning each social worker is on duty one week in every three. During duty weeks, social workers are required to be in the office full-time (five days per week) to ensure effective response and team collaboration. Outside of duty weeks, a hybrid working model is available allowing a combination of home and office-based work.

Requirements:

āœ… Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent)
āœ… Social Work England registration
āœ… Experience in children's social care, including CIN, CP, and Care Proceedings
āœ… Ability to manage a caseload and work effectively within a duty system
āœ… Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
