About the Role:
This role involves working across all aspects of family social work and assessments, supporting children and families at various stages of intervention, including:
š¹ Child in Need (CIN) - Providing support and intervention to families to prevent escalation into child protection.
š¹ Child Protection (CP) - Managing cases where children are at risk of significant harm, attending strategy meetings, and developing child protection plans.
š¹ Care Proceedings - Working within legal frameworks, preparing court reports, and supporting children through proceedings where necessary.
The team operates a duty system, meaning each social worker is on duty one week in every three. During duty weeks, social workers are required to be in the office full-time (five days per week) to ensure effective response and team collaboration. Outside of duty weeks, a hybrid working model is available allowing a combination of home and office-based work.

Requirements:
ā
Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent)
ā
Social Work England registration
ā
Experience in children's social care, including CIN, CP, and Care Proceedings
ā
Ability to manage a caseload and work effectively within a duty system
ā
Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
