The CIN Team at Leicester City Council are looking for experienced practitioners to join them to deliver positive outcomes for young people across Leicester.
You will need at least 2 years experience in front line services - caseloads are approximately 20 per social worker and hybrid working is available, alongside condensed working hours should you want this!
Main Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse caseload of Children which covers Child Protection, Child in Need and sometimes Children within Proceedings
- Assessment work - single assessments, risk assessments, parenting assessments
- Collaborative working with other professionals and agencies to meet statutory deadlines and the identified needs of children, young people and their support network. This includes collaborative work with the Police and Education Services
- PLO work
- Court Reports
- Court Assessments
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience working with vulnerable children
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full enhanced DBS
