The Role:
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people in a safe, supportive, and homely environment. You will play a key role in their emotional, social, and physical development while helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and support to children and young people.
- Promote positive relationships and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
- Work closely with the team to develop individualised care plans.
- Assist with educational, social, and recreational activities.
- Encourage personal development, independence, and life skills.
- Support children with emotional and behavioural challenges in line with care plans.
- Ensure safeguarding and well-being standards are maintained at all times.
- Work within legislative requirements, policies, and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Compassionate, patient, and resilient individuals.
- Experience in a similar role or working with children and young people (desirable but not essential).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Full UK driving license (desirable).
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or willingness to work towards it.
