Registered Manager - Children's Residential Care
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: £48,000 - £51,000
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to be part of a new venture from the very beginning. You will be responsible for leading a team in providing high-quality care to children with complex needs, ensuring that each child receives the individual support they deserve. You will foster positive relationships with children, staff, families, and external partners while establishing a culture of excellence and innovation in our new home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the children's home in accordance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015, ensuring all legal and regulatory standards are met.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of individual care plans that support the long-term outcomes and development of young people.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, staff, families, and external professionals, creating a collaborative and open environment.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in a secure, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
- Support the professional development of staff through training, supervision, and performance management, helping them to grow in their roles.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Degree-level qualification in a relevant field, along with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or equivalent).
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or a commitment to complete within 2 years).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in children's residential care, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- A strong leader with excellent advocacy, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, safeguarding practices, and the emotional needs of young people in care.
