Duration: Initially 5 months
Hours: 37 hours per week (hours flexible)
Rate: £20 PAYE an hour
Location: Oxford (1 day a month in the office)
Oxfordshire County Council are looking for a Category Officer to join their Children’s Services
Responsibilities:
- Flexible working hours however core hours are expected to be covered
- Reporting to the Category Manager for Children’s Services, this role will undertake the full delivery of key procurement and contract management projects within the Corporate and Commercial category
- Including tender document preparation, tendering, contract monitoring and contract administration
- To act as a professional advisor on procurement and contract management
- Work with Commissioners and Service Leads across the council
Requirements:
- Experience in Children’s Services and Education essential
- MCIPS to Level 4
- Procurement Act 2023 Assessment completed
- Public Sector procurement knowledge and experience
- Significant procurement experience
