We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist to join a leading NHS Trust in Margate. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a busy and well-supported cardiology department while enjoying the flexibility of agency work.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic cardiac investigations and supporting complex cardiac procedures. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and must be confident in both independent and collaborative working environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret a wide range of cardiac investigations, including ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, echocardiograms (transthoracic and transoesophageal), and exercise tolerance tests
- Assist in cardiac catheterisation labs for diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Support and train junior staff and students
- Contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with Trust policies
- BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent
- RCCP/HCPC registration (or equivalent professional body)
- Extensive experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent in a cardiac physiology role
- Strong competencies in echocardiography and/or cath lab work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
