Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Band 8b Counselling Psychologist for a LOCUM contract supporting Cambridgeshire And Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide psychological support to Adults and older adults with mental Health conditions. The contract will run for an initial period of 3 months with the likelihood of extension.
Job Purpose: Band 8b Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
Pay Rate: £40.00 LTD p/h + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus
Location: Peterborough
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
Contract: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide clinical leadership to the locality older people's therapy service, responsible for the systematic provision of high quality evidence-based psychological, psychosocial and occupational therapies for older people.
- To take a key leadership role in the locality mental health service, in conjunction with the area mental health lead and other senior clinicians and to be part of the leadership group for the locality.
- To ensure that the older people's therapies service works collaboratively with other parts of the locality mental health team, neighbourhood teams, inpatient units and other teams to provide seamless care for older people with mental health problems and people with physical health problems with associated psychological needs.
- To work with colleagues in neighbourhood teams to deliver a programme of screening for anxiety and depression in the older population.
Requirements
- HCPC Registration
- Clinical/counselling Psychology Doctorate or equivalent
- Substantial Mental Health experience working with adults of all ages
