Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Band 8A Clinical Psychologist for a LOCUM contract supporting the Black Country NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care through their expertise and contributions to the psychological services provided.
Job Purpose: Band 8a Clinical Psychologist
Pay Rate: £35.00 LTD p/h + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus
Location: Wolverhampton
Contract: 30 hours per week
This role focuses on delivering high-quality psychological services to improve the mental health and well being of patients suffering with chronic pain.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnose conditions related to chronic pain.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Deliver evidence-based psychological treatments (e.g., CBT, mindfulness).
- Patient Management:
- Develop and monitor individualised care plans.
Professional Leadership:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and support junior psychologists and trainees.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work with health care professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Service Development:
- Improve service delivery and patient outcomes through policy and protocol development.
Requirements
- Degree in Clinical or Applied Psychology, accredited by the BPS
- HCPC Registration
- Previous physical health experience
