Service Care Solutions are working with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a Band 8a CBT Therapist to support the Psychological Skills Service

The contract duration is for a minimum of 6 months with the likelihood of extension. This is a Part-time placement with 22.5 hours available.

Job Title: Band 8a CBT Therapist
Location: Cambridge (Hybrid working available)
Contract Dates: Start ASAP - 6 months
Working Days: 3 days per week, flexible
Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: £35 per hour (LTD)

Role Overview: The Band 8a CBT Therapist will be responsible for delivering high-quality, NICE-recommended treatment interventions for Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Trauma and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
    • Conduct thorough clinical assessments to diagnose CPTSD and other related mental health conditions.
  2. Therapeutic Interventions:
    • Provide NICE-recommended treatment interventions for CPTSD, including but not limited to CBT for Trauma and EMDR.
    • Develop individualised treatment plans based on clients' needs and clinical guidelines.
    • Utilise a range of therapeutic techniques to address trauma-related symptoms and enhance clients' coping strategies.
  3. Case Management:
    • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
  4. Collaboration and Consultation:
    • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
  5. Supervision and Training:
    • Provide supervision and support to junior therapists and trainees, fostering their professional development.
  6. Professional Development:
    • Maintain professional registration and adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by regulatory bodies.
    • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with advancements in the field of trauma therapy.

Requirements

  • BABCP provisional / full accreditation
  • Previous experience working with Adults
