Band 7 Children's Safeguarding Advisor, Ealing - £30 ph.

West London NHS Foundation trust, are looking for a Band 7 Safeguarding Advisor to work a long term contract in Ealing.

Job summary

  • The post is for a Safeguarding Children Advisor who is a Registered Nurse/ Midwife / Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner (school nursing or health visiting) with experience of working with all aspects of safeguarding practice (safeguarding children, child protection, children in need and families with complex needs).

  • The post holder will provide advice and expertise on all safeguarding children matters to all staff specialist support to all staff and across NHS Trust as required.
  • The post holder will work within the Safeguarding Team, and ensure that arrangements are in place for safeguarding children supervision and training of all staff involved in providing services to children and families and vulnerable adults who are parents or carers and/or who may pose a risk to children in line with Trust Safeguarding Children Policy.

  • The post holder will ensure that safeguarding children is an integral part of the Trust risk management strategy and that key staff are aware of the thresholds for triggering child protection enquiries and an assessment of risk

  • The post holder will assist in internal/external reviews case reviews


The hourly rate for the role is £30 p/h, paid via umbrella.

Candidates must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin, and must have previous experience working in an early intervention team. The ability to work autonomously and under pressure is essential.
