Salary:

PAYE: £22.15 per hour | LTD Umbrella: £27.26 per hour - (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)

Are you a motivated and experienced arboriculture professional looking to make a real impact on London's green infrastructure? We are seeking a qualified and skilled Arboricultural Officer to join our valued client's team in South London. As an Arboricultural Officer, you will play a key role in delivering and enhancing a borough-wide tree management service, ensuring the borough remains a safe, sustainable, and green place to live.

About the Role:

As an Arboricultural Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a customer-focused arboriculture service, managing both in-house teams and external contractors. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing tree works across the borough, ensuring quality, compliance, and health & safety standards
  • Planning and managing proactive tree surveys across all council-managed land on a three-year cycle
  • Monitoring tree health and pests, taking action where necessary
  • Managing and reporting on contractor performance, inspecting at least 50% of completed works
  • Providing professional arboriculture advice and participating in resident and stakeholder consultations

What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a qualified arboriculture professional with proven experience in public sector or contract management. You should have a strong understanding of tree health, pests, and disease management, as well as confidence in using asset management systems and GIS tools. You should be a skilled communicator with the ability to engage with residents, stakeholders, and contractors.
