Adolescent Practitioner

Duration: Initially 3 months
Hours: 36 hours per week
Rate: Up to £25 umbrella an hour dependent on experience (up to £20 PAYE an hour)
Location: Tandridge

Surrey County Council are looking for an Adolescent Practitioner to join their children's service.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a lead role in providing and coordinating consent-based intensive early help support to children and families
  • Support whole families through a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, utilising motivational interviewing skills and effective relational approaches
  • Coordinate key support services and professionals with families to form an engaged, active and effective Team Around the Family
  • Ensure casework is adequately recorded
  • Be the lead practitioner for a full caseload of families

Requirements:

  • Vocational Qualifications Level3/4 or equivalent in relevant field with practical knowledge of service user group needs, or equivalent experience
  • Able to plan, manage and prioritise a caseload and seek guidance where necessary
  • Experience of working with the user group and of staff supervision where appropriate
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people and families/carers in the target
  • Educated to GCSE or A level standard
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a car
