About Otis

Firstly, how long have you been at Service Care?

I joined in September 2018.

Give us a brief overview of your professional background...

Before working in Recruitment, my background was within Customer Service Management working in both the Hospitality and Leisure sectors. I've always enjoyed roles which allowed me to develop relationships with people. Since working in the Recruitment sector, my love for nurturing strong professional relationship has strengthened as well as my desire to help the clients and professionals I work with achieve their goals, whether this be accelerating their growth or progressing in their career.

What roles do you recruit for and in which areas?

I recruit within ourHealthcare division, leading the Psychological Therapies sector. This is a specialist sub-division supporting the NHS as well as Private Sector Healthcare organisations and Charities. Key areas of specialisms include Neurodevelopmental (ASD/ADHD), Psychology, Counselling and AHP.

I've had involvement working directly with Start-Ups within the Neurodevelopmental space, providing expert Consultation and market knowledge to support them getting their business off the ground and taking things to the next level, whilst headhunting specialist professionals within the public and private sectors. If you are a Psychiatrist, ASD/ADHD Assessor, NMP, Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist or Occupational Therapist, don't hesitate to get in touch for a discussion around how I can help you realise your career goals!

What is your favourite quote/best piece of advice you've ever been given?

To always be the hardest worker in the room.

If you weren't in recruitment, what would you be doing?

I'd like to think I'd work in Law or the Police, as I love problem-solving. Although I think my love of food would have taken me down a completely different path!

Lastly, when you're not in work, where can we find you?

In a cafe or restaurant, anywhere involving food or coffee!
