Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Leaving Care Personal Advisor in Westminster
The Leaving Care Personal Advisor will support care leavers make a successful transition to adulthood.
Pay rate - £20.59 per hour / £25.61 ltd (umbrella)
Main Responsibilities
As a Leaving Care Personal Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- To contribute to the assessments, formulation, implementation and review of Pathway Plans through direct interventions and full engagement of the young person.
- To provide assistance and advice to Care Leavers in relation to developing practical independent living skills, holding a tenancy and developing financial capabilities.
- Provide coaching and motivational support to enable young people to build the confidence and self-esteem to be successful in adulthood.
- Safeguard and protect Care leavers as they transition to independence through regular contact and ensuring that they are; effectively engaged; in suitable accommodation; and in education training or employment appropriate to their abilities and aspirations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across agencies with the view to co-ordinating the provision of relevant services and taking reasonable steps to ensure the young person makes use of them.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS
- Experience in a similar role
- Educated to A level (or equivalent) or extensive experience of directly working with children, young people, their parents and carers to effect positive change
